Link hinged lasts are used primarily in the production of men’s shoes. The toe end of the last can be hinged downwards after the last is placed on the pin. This model is designed for lasted shoes, because they are not ideal for preparing strobel uppers.

Shoe makers (factories) often use sliding hinged lasts when manufacturing moccasins and strobel uppers. The mechanism is incorporated to achieve good shortening when the toe end is pushed up. This model eases both pulling and removing the upper from the last. It is also much favoured for manufacturing ladies’ shoes.

Solid lasts are most frequently used when making sandals, these lasts have no mechanisms. To achieve better adaptation to the vast range of production
measures, all lasts can also be produced with or without metal plates (either full, instep or heel). The last can also be supplied with lasting holes, with the following dimensions:

Diameter round: 11, 15 and 22 mm
Diameter oval: 25 x 12 mm

Fagus® lasts are made exclusively on CNC lathes. This machining technology ensures that surfaces are very fine and precise, guaranteeing repeatedly high levels of fit.

Our company has an in-house pre-form production department, ensuring that Fagus® is in full control of material quality.

Fagus® lasts are also manufactured of high density PE, a material which provides enduring performance in shoe manufacturing production processes.
